NoReplay is a ticketing platform built in Nairobi for live events across East Africa — concerts, festivals, theatre, club nights, conferences, anything where being in the room actually matters. Our job is to put a real ticket in your hand, charge a fair price for the trouble, and stay out of the way the rest of the night.
Why we exist
Two things kept happening to us at events. We'd show up holding a printed PDF that had been forwarded around a WhatsApp group, and the door staff couldn't tell who was meant to be using it. Or we'd try to refund a ticket and disappear into a week-long email chain that ended in "policy doesn't allow it".
We built NoReplay to fix both. Tickets here use a rotating QR that refreshes every minute, so a screenshot is dead on arrival. Refunds happen in the open with a status page you can watch — wallet credit lands in seconds, the rest follows your bank or mobile-money provider on a clear timeline. The platform fee, the VAT, the organiser cut: all visible on the receipt before you commit.
We charge a default 10% platform fee on each sale, and the organiser decides whether to absorb it or pass it through. That's the whole business model. No surprise line items at checkout. No grey resale market — every resold ticket goes through a buyer-protected handoff and is capped at 150% of face value.
Reliable
Tickets show up the second payment clears. Money trails are auditable. Refunds have a public status page. If something breaks, you see what broke.
Surfaced
The fee, the VAT, the refund window, the resale cap — all visible on the page where you decide. You should never need to dig for the number that matters.
Local
M-Pesa first, then card. Built for KES and the way Kenyan events actually run — late starts, last-minute releases, organisers who pay vendors out of bar takings.
The team
NoReplay is built by a small group of engineers, designers and event veterans split between Nairobi and London. We work alongside organisers we trust — the people putting on the events you actually want to be at — and ship updates fast enough that today's edge-case bug is fixed before next weekend's gig.
